Misjudged Novella

Have we ever misjudged a situation? Looked at life one way only to realize it’s something else entirely?

Christopher “Outlaw” Caldwell is at a crossroads. He worships his old lady, Megan. After almost losing her, he’s realizing marriage is harder than he thought, especially when he’s the president of one of the most notorious MCs around.

Megan Caldwell has been immersed in grief over her lost son, blaming herself for his death. She wants another baby and she wants to be the old lady her husband needs her to be.

Reality has a way of changing perceptions. Both Megan and Christopher will have to find answers to some hard questions. Most important one? Where do they go from here?

Warning: This story contains a little of Kendall Miller’s backstory and a present-day decision on her part. It isn’t for the faint of heart and isn’t a hearts-and-roses type of romance. It has a little intensity, a smidgeon of fighting, a lot of loving, and approximately 1360 ‘f’ words or variations thereof.

A Note From Kat:

Misjudged is a 45,000 word novella that answers questions about Christopher "Outlaw" Caldwell, Megan "Meggie" Caldwell, Kendall "Red" Miller, and John "John Boy" Donovan. These chapters were included within Misguided, but they bogged Mortician's and Bailey's story down by having too many different arcs to follow. Most of the characters will appear in Misguided and, by the end of the series, everyone's storylines will be resolved.

My goal was to provide answers to lingering questions about Outlaw and Meggie, but Outlaw was actually taking over Mortician's story. Including these 45,000 words within Misguided made it huge and Mortician just seemed overshadowed by Outlaw. I didn't think that was fair to Mortician and Bailey or their fans.

Misjudged's prologue begins with Kendall and let me explain why. Whether you love or hate Kendall, she's one of the main characters and she has had it rough. Thank you for being so invested in my characters that a Team Megan and a Team Kendall has developed. Kendall is searching for herself. For every ten steps forward, she takes two steps backwards. The progression-regression battle she's having is either understandable or infuriating depending on which team you're rooting for. To Kendall's credit, she hasn't stopped her life because of so many bad things that has happened to her. She doesn't always make the wisest choices or offer the best deliveries, but she's redeemable. All I ask is that you give her a chance and read with an open mind.

Misjudged will be available on November 10th at Amazon.
